Difference between the types of computer chip upgrades?
So, i just had my new heads, cam, and intake installed about a month or so ago, and the car is a whole new animal. However it runs pretty rough and has a bad tendency of dying when in nuetral or when the clutch is in for very long. Im pretty sure these are all things that are remedied by a new chip for the ecu, but I'm not sure what brand would be the best. What chip would be the best for a pretty heavily modified engine like mine? Thanks.

my h/c/i combo has no problems, I dont think a chip will fix your problem.
have you checked your tb, iac, maf for cleanliness?
have you set the timing with the spout unplugged?

Pull your codes to make sure there isn't something wrong.
If you don't have a scanner, check my sig for a link that will show you the McGyver method.
What cam did you get with the TrickFlow kit?
What MAF/MAS and Injectors?

I got the crane cams cam that comes with the street heat kit. I have 65 mm MAF, the size of the cobra that year, and the stock injectors. Would it be just these two that would cause it to die? And it runs pretty much perfect other wise, so it doesnt seem that there is anything really wrong with the engine.

What parts were changed when this problem started?
The 93 Cobra had a 70mm MAF, and it cannot be used on a A9* computer fox.
What are the specs on the Crane Cam?
The injectors are 19lb, correct? Orange?
We need to sort out some of the details of what you are running before changing a bunch of parts.
Are you able to pull the codes?

I never said it actualy had a cobra MAF, i thought that the MAF was the size of the cobra's. I actualy think it may have the stock MAF. I am pretty sure the stock injectors are 19 lb. Duration @ .050" (degrees) - 221 intake/225 exhaust Cam Lift (intake/exhaust) - .312"/.319" Lift w/ 1.6 rocker (intake/exhaust) - .499"/.510" Lobe seperation (degrees) - 112. Those are the specs of the cam. Only the heads cam and intake are new since the problem arised. The engine runs flawlessly 99% of the time. Only when the revs hit idle will it ever do anything, and it only ever dies maybe five times a week total, and its my daily driver. With the pulling codes, what part of that will work for my car? There isnt any of it that actualy says it would work for a mustang 5.0.

Try this link for the codes...

it's a little wordy, but it should get you through it.
By the way the cheap $35 scanners are a great way to go. Autozone carries them, along with most other parts stores.
The cam won't give you any issues...

Are you talking about having a chip burnt for your car or some kind of *one tune fits all* kind of chips.... if thats what you are referring to its not going to do anything. If you are talking about having your car tuned, find a tuner and ask them. Different tuners like to work with different things. But like posted above, I would pull your codes first and see what the deal is.
