Ive got an 89gt that the idle surges sometimes. It doesnt bog down when i hit the gas. Sometimes when i go start it after it sits for awhile i can smell gas. Anyone have an idea?
Mine used to do that, I didn't have that smelling gas problem though. I replaced the air idle control valve and it idles great. But the stupid thing cost me like $80. lol
as other people have probably suggested, clean out your idle air control, check your egr valve, and make sure there arent any vac leaks. After doing these things, feel free to post back.
