You don't want a vac line going from the MAP to the manifold if your Mass air...you need to plug the line from the manifold and leave the MAP port open to the atmosphere.

I have a mass air car and noticed that I didn't have any timing advance unless I had a vacuum line plugged into the "MAP,Baro" sensor. Any ideas?

Wow - 2.5 years on one post.

I could use a little help here. I put a '91 5.0 with minor mods into the '86 - speed density.. Since going back to the 19 lb injectors, the car falls flat under any load - it idles nice butstruggles when you gun it. It is near impossible to drive without it dying. I have swapped out the following trying to diagnose the problem: distributer, cap, rotor, wires, plugs, injectors, fuel filter, fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator and the computer. I have checked out the TPS and adjusted timing to try to cure the issue, but the problem persists. Someone suggested a problem with the MAP sensor. As I understand it, there is a vaccum line from the back of the upper intake to the sensor. Is this the only vaccum line going to this sensor?

Also, if anyone has any additional ideas, please let me know. I replaced the coil when I installed the enigne, so I am at a loss as to what is causing the problem.

Thanks
