okay, my 95gt is now putting down 320rwtq and my weak *** t-5 can no longer handle that kind of power. i have now broken 3rd gear twice in the last 4 months. this is not cool. i am a poor college student and don't have the money to throw down on a new, stronger transmission but i do have a buddy that rebuilds transmissions(thankfully cause t-5's are garbadge). so on to my question. - would it be possible to buy a stout 3rd gear from a transmission company such as astro performance and it work with my current cluster? everything in the tranny is brand new so 3rd is really all i need. anyone have a good, cost effiective solution to my problem??? any suggestions would be greatly appeciated. thanks guys

Check w/ Astro Performance about the G-Force gear sets.... You can probaby buy just 3rd, but I'd replace the whole shabang when you get a chance.....

replace everything not just 3rd, because you will end up breaking other gears. t-5's are junk when beat on.

i plan on selling that car within that next 3 or 4 months some i'm honestly not too worried about building the whole tranny. i just wantt it to be strong enough to handle a few good runs at the track (when it opens back up) and not break on me a third time. i haven't had a chance to run it since i dropped 700 bucks on a tune. shooting for mid-13's! i've invested too much time and money into the car to not see it at its full potential before i sell it.

3rd is the weak link in the t-5. i ain't to concerned about the rest. i haven't heard to many horror storys about people dropping 1st or 2nd
