metal chunks in bottom of gear case
i'm in the middle of changing my gears and when i took the pinion out last night i found these chunks in there. anyone know where they may have come from? it used to have a trac loc but i put an auburn in there. the tracloc didn't work so i'm thinking they were a part of it.

not sure what they are but if it was my axle, id take every part out and see what is damaged. the metal pieces in the axle could have damaged other parts as the moved around

and it recently was making crunching noises from the rear end so who the heck knows. they were under the pinion shaft, in that small cavity, all of them.

They look like thin metal...not broken peices either...they all look the same. They didn't come from a traction loc...unless one of your clutch plates came apart.

nope bearings are all intact. it's got me stumped. it's not a piece of the auburn either. i really have no idea. and yeah you're right they are all the same size and they arent cast like a spider gear.
