Default update on the shaking issue!!!!

ok so today i finally jacked it up and checked for movement in the tires. on the driver side, i can move it from side to side quite a bit and the brake caliper moves along with the disc and the wheel. the passenger side just moves from side to side without the movement in the brake caliper. what is the problem?

sounds like wheel bearings... you should actually jack up one side at a time because if you pull too hard, your just turning your steering... you need it to stay stationary to feel for bad bearings and such. however, if the whole thing is moving, brakes and all.. you probably have a bad tie rod end

yeah everything moves on the driver side and the tire is worn on the inside on that side. the passenger side tire wears evenly. where is the tie rod end located?

That doesn't sound like a bearing, they are supposed to move together...how much does it move?

it moves quite a bit. so the driver side is a bearing not a tie rod end?

Could be either...which way is it moving? Look at the tierod end and see if there is movment in the joint. If there is, then it is bad.

if its the bearing you should be able to hear a noise or feel somting on the hwy( like deacceleration , or at certain speed)
atleast thats the way mine was.

the caliper is attached to the spindle, however the bearings ride ON it.. so if the bearings are bad, the wheel will move and the caliper will not
