Default raising idle?

it sits at 500rpm right now, but the stock specs are around 650 i believe...

is raising the idle with the set screw on the throttle body the right way to raise it or is it done electronically? both my IAC an TP are set to specs so those dont need to be adjusted

Chances are that the tps will not be affected enough to make a difference unless you really have to make a big adjustment.
