yeah it has a cat, paid about 2.5k. The carb that was on it before was a 4180c 500cfm(piece of crap) replaced it with Holley 4160 600cfm uni. I figured with this new enginehaving aHPerformance cam I should go up 100cfm. I thing I just need to rejet it 2 sizes leaner.....

Believe it or not, there are gasoline additives that WILL work, unfortunately, I can't remember the ones that work vs the ones that don't, but I've used them before on vehicles that blew worse readings than yours with success.

well mine failed hc's i took to mechanic andhe said it was fine and just told me to run thruo some fuel injecter cleaner(bg44k).....by then i was ready to take it back(i had that option if it failed).....so took it cold (like 20 degrees outside).....it passed with fling colors that time.......i am happy now thou....anyhow ...iwas told if its a stick that the driver can make a diffrence also when u take it back u will probably get a special test they do for second timers...that is more accurate i think

the recall was taken care of back in 1986 the secondaries stuck and bent wide open but still the 4180c is a piece of junk...

Buy a cheap 2 barrel carb to put on it for emmisssions tests. That will get it passed.
