245 is about as large as you want to go on a 7in wheel, anything more wont be in contact with the road

I never said you should run 275's on ponies... I never recommend anything larger than a 245/50/16 on them... I have seen people run 275/50/15 on stock turbines... but the tires will (like primetime said) have a smaller contact patch. I would never run a 15" 275 tire on less than a 15x8, and on 17's id use a 17x9 for a 275/40/17
