HOW CAN A BIGGER CAM HURT ME?
not a bigger cam, but too big of a cam. Bigger does not always mean better.
ur preaching to deaf ears. i have tried to explain that and have recommended cams over and over again

a stock cam with 1.7 rockers is basically a cobra cam, but the LSA is different. A little known fact is that the stock cam can efficiently make power up to about 275-300hp.. after that it will begin to suffer a bit.

If you had a B cam, or still have it. and want a quick upgrade... toss some 1.7 roller rockers on it and call it a day

Well my point being if the car with a stock cam has low gears, slicks, drag suspesnion and a shot of nitrous i hardly consdier that being "12s easy" with a stock cam

Man here we go with the cams again. How come no one says Isky cams are good? My teachers have told me that isky makes the highest quality cams you can buy. Doesn't comp make trickflows cams? if so i wouldn't get one. Too big of a cam is only going to hurt you if your heads and intake system dont match. For example the stock system is good for like 5000 RPM. If you get a cam that makes its peak power at 6500 RPM then your not going to be very happy with your set up. Lots of duration isn't really going to hurt you. Its lots of lift that will, tons of lift is going to give you less port velocity and thus less low RPM torque. If you want a cam thats going to get you a good ET and get you lots of power and you dont care about street manners then get big heads and a big cam and a big intake. If your driving it everyday and you want that torque to push you in the seat from stop light to stop light then your going to need a cam that makes power up to about 5500 rpm. If I were you I would look at the rpm ranges of the induction system you wanna buy and the cam you want. LSA also matter as well as overlap, to be honest with you, you could just ask the tech guys at isky or trickflow or ford racing.
