with the weight of the combined 460/C6, call it...500 HP. All the extra suspension bells and whistles i would have to do to keep my frame from becomming a pretzel, would it be worth building? in yalls opinion?

in my opunion it wouldnt beworth it. for the money id go with a stroked 351 ,with some boost. that will easily net over 500hp, be cheaper, and lighter than the 460. JMHO though.....

There is nothing wrong with a blown 351 stroker, butthat will cost A LOT more to build than a 460. I would imagine you could easily do the suspension and modify the crossmember for much less. Just a stroker 351 is going to cost more to build than a stock stroke 460.

It really depends on how nice you want everything to look. I would think the easiest way to do the accesories would be to go v-belt and ditch the serpentine.

well, like i said, i can prolly get this 460 for free and over and over again ive heard it said that "there's no replacement for displacement" so i know i wanna build a 500+ hp ride, so why not start with a big building block. As far as looks go i really dont care so long as it runs well. My car is nicknamed Frankenstang cause everything is muli-colored. I want it to look like chit but hang with all the imports on Gratiot. 90ford5liter, its an 89 notch

get the 460, stroke it to 510 (or 512 cant remember), throw on a nice carb and a 150 shot of nitrous. then get a fully built c6 or even a c4 if built right. full drag suspension and have fun running 9s. plan on a full roll cage to handle the torque

I have a 460 in my garage with a c6 and 10" converter. Stock football head rods, .600 lift solid lifter cam and 10.5 to one compression. SCJ heads. It ran 10.60 @ 127 mph with 2- 750 double pumpers. That was in a 63 falcon drag car. The same engine in a 72 fastback went 12.60 with a single 750 dp. With nos it ran 11.10 @116. Want to but it? Its taking up space. Its basically stock. call 954 437 1043. Rick $1000 with another stock 460.
