You should still be able to use your old cat back system with your new h-pipe. When I made that swap the only thing I had to do was get longer bolts where the ball and flange bolt together. But if you instist on drving without the cat-back it will be loud as hell outside and inside the car. Trust me I drove that way for 3 days and you can't hear anything but exhaust.

i would wait and save up enough money to buy the american thunder exhaust from flow master when you buy the h-pipe. if you was to just run the h-pipe then one big ticket for loud exhaust and there you have it. with the money spent on the ticket you could have even put headers on.

Thats an old wives tell about burning your valves up. You can run open heads, just headers, full exhaust, whatever. Its just with open heads you won't be getting any exhaust velocity and be making far less power. Exhaust doesn't care how it gets out just as long as it gets out as easy as possible.

I'm not looking at burning valves, youare right about it being a popular myth, like backpressure being needed.
I'm just looking at the fact that it'd be a very bad idea to spit 1000+ F gases into wires and everything else inside of an engine bay.
