I used MAC 1-5/8" equal length coated shorty headers with a 2-1/2" catback exhaust system and was pleased with the results. Later replaced the mid pipe with an off road H-pipe when I took the Stang off road as a drag racer. I strongly recommend using equal length shorty headers instead of long tubes as they are cheaper, easier to install and the O2 sensors are located in the stock location so the ECU controls the engine functions without any problems so passing emissions testing should not be a problem if you keep the cats.

you can price out you r parts and upgrades on www.summitracing.com/landing/mustang/ thay have everything you'd need and their prices are very reasonable, i've been ordering from there ever since i got my stang and have never had to wait more than 2-3 days for my parts, plus shipping is free. but as for exhaust if you have some money and dont feel like ever being bothered with having to replace you exhaust again you can get a borla exhaust system that has a 1 million mile warranty!! intercooled exhaust tips. the sight will also show you everything else you'd need x/h pipe headers etc.

you can also get exhaust system stuff from www.holcombmotorsports.com too.
and I don't really think you need a 1 million mile warranty exhaust system either! the car would be long gone before the exhaust system failed.

I'd much rather keep some digital photos rather than spend extra money for an exhaust just so I could say I was dumb enoght to spend too much for it! LOL

Whatever exhaust you do get, make sure you get ceramic coated headers. There aint nothing worse than popping the hood on your steed and seeing rust all over the headers.

well if you take some high temp header paint, and follow the instructions then you would not have to worry about the rust
