Hi, im looking at buying a 1994 cobra svt. It has 130k miles on the body, and 10k on the rebuilt motor. it has Ebach lowering springs, hurst shifter, 355 intake pump, helper pump, 355 gears, flowmaster exhaust, tint, light covers and what not. They are asking $7,900. THe body seems to be in great condition. Does anyone think this is a bad deal? dont know if im in the right forum so who ever the admin is can move the forum. Thanks

Cobra or not, $7900 seems a little steep to me. Also, how do you know the motor was rebuilt? Who was it rebuilt by? Definitly run a carfax. Pics would be helpful.

your in the right place, i payed 5250 for my car, it was stock except the exhasut and had 106,xxx miles on it, looked like the pic in my sig except had stock lights... and the body was in great shape just a few door dings where and there, this was back in august 2004... if you look hard enough you can find a better deal

edit: don't just assume that it was rebuilt i personaly would want reciepts and to know if the motor had a warrantie from whoever built it... the last thing u want to do is spend 7500 and then have the motor blow from a crappy build

Ask for some receipts or proof that the motor has been rebuilt...I bought my 90 last August and the motor supposedly had 500 miles on a rebuild....As I later found out...that was not TRUE....New cam, lifters and roller rockers 500 miles ago...with used GT 40 heads...the short block however had over 150k on it...just a nice new paint job...

I traced the ownership and talked to one of the prior owners who supposedly rebuilt it and he laughed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My new motor is under construction..hope to have it running early April...

my thoughts exactly, my cell phone takes a better pic than that.

Make sure you get proof of rebuild before you even consider buying it, it's so easy to just tell people stuff they might believe. Remember a fool and his money are soon parted.
