i am looking to buy a 87 state trooper mustang gt is has a 302 Fi motor but is it has a v6 trans mission off of a thunder bird
is this safe or am i looking for more problems down the road he says that it was being set up for dragging but i dont know please help

Never heard of this being done...but if it runs and shifts well I wouldn't worry. T5s are cheap as hell and a dime a dozen when you blow the V6 tranny up.

Yes it will work, its probly a c-5 trans but its still good. You can use that trans case and c-4 internals .the c-5 is an upgraded c-4 trans has better oiling system.

yeah those thunderturd auto transmissions are really strong my boss has 3 sc's and we have another 3 sc's that are his friends sitting in our lot at the shop
