Default CLutch help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

1989 5.0 GT 5-speed. so i put a new motor in my car runs fine except for the clutch the clutch is fairly still new so i didnt replace it. and the pedal has no play in it at all its so tight. and when i drove it it was slipping around 3500... is there any kind of stock adjustment thing i forgot to do..

yes it can be adjusted but where is the grab/release point in the pedal? right up top, near the floor? where?

grease up your clutch cable with all purpose grease and it will be like butter

the clutch is way over adjusted, there for the grease won't do alot (yes it will help with pedal effort) adjust the clutch and you'll be fine, drive it for much longer like that can't you'll be looking at a new flywheel clutch and release bearing

so i GUESS it catches/releases at the floor...you need to adjust it, wut u do...

press clutch down
look for yellowish plastic hook btwn the gas and brake pedal, up a lil ways
hold it up, and pull pedal out, youll hear a click, just go w. 1, try it, then 2. one should do it 2 might be needed tho... then talk to us again...

the problem is that his clutch is OVER adjusted. he needs to get under the dash and release the lock on the back of the quadrant and let the pedal settle... not adjust it further
