Default gt 40 ?

I was suppose to get a set of gt40p heads for free but the deal fell through which i figured it would but now i'mdebating on what to do. I wanna order a set of x303 heads but not sure what extra stuff i'm gonna have to have. Are the rockers set up for pedastal mount or stud mount. I'm running a b cam. Think i can run a 1.7 rocker without having a valve/piston clearance problem.

For a hair more than the Ford aluminum heads cost, you can get a set of Twisted Wedge's, which are TONS better. Add another 200 to that and you can get AFR's. Also, get the smallest chamber you can if you are N/A, it will help raise your compression some.....larger chambers if you're boosted.

+1 ^^^. Those just depend on what you have planned for your heads. They claim that you can port trick flows more than afr's, but afr's are a better bolt on head. You can't go wrong with aluminum heads if you have the cash for them. But definately go with twisted wedges or afr's. Just because ford racing offers many parts, they're not always the best because they are ford racing. Good luck with your selection.

30# inj's are way too much if you are N/A. You'll be fine on 19's for now, but 24's will be okay too. TW's are stud mount, IIRC. If you are going to stay N/A, get smaller chambers...If you will add boost, go larger. You can always port the TW's later for more gains on that 347 if you need to.
