[:'(]Aint dat a bich. Like said above, our tanks are easy to come by. POR your new one. Get some new straps and do the same to them. If you have extra $ get a pump in there while you're at it. POR is awesome stuff and you will never have to worry aboutthe tank again.

Your fuel level.

to get he pump out there is a locking ring that you drive sideways with a srewdriver or chisel and a hammer....unfortunately mine is so rusted that it wont budge....the tank is also a leaker as well.

I like the POR-15 idea...i coated a VW pan with it one time...couldn't even scratch it with a key after it dried.

YEAH!!! My gas tank doesn't suck any more!!!....got one from NAPA paid a bit more for it but its made in Canada by Spectra Premium...awesome quality!!!..my daughter stood on it and it wouldn't dent...came with new straps..lock rings and gaskets....

also came coated with a thin layer of thick grease to keep it from rusting..i have since washed this off with laundry soap (after sealing it up of course). I will give it one more scrub down with acetone, prep it with POR-15 Metal Ready and then coat it with POR-15 black. I doubt it will ever rust out agian...'cept from the inside out...
