Default HELP quick timing question

What is the thing that I disconnect from the distributer before I do the timing? All I see is one ginourmous plug in the side, and then coming from that is a smaller plug that isn't plugged into anything.

hmm as far as I can tell I dont have the spout peice. Theres a plug hanging by the distributer, it's a small plug, but theres nothing in it. It looks like what the spout would connect to. Can I get a new spout peice from advanced auto?

craaaap advanced auto doesn't carry it. Any ideas? Would advancing my base timing atleast keep the car from stalling?

well I changed the base timing. It's doing a lot better than it was. Before I could not coast with the clutch in at all without it dying. Now I can do that most of the time, except after I do a full throttle run and then cut out and coast with the clutch it, it still wants to die then, but it's good enough now to get me to and from work. Hopefully if I can get that plug thing it'll take car of the rest of it.
