Friend of mine has an 87GT vert, he's looking to convert it to maf, to support future upgrades. Does anyone have any experience with this conversion? I see the kits for sale in Summit and Jegs, is this a difficult conversion, or more or less a plug and play? I know these kits are not cheap $550-$600.

its cheaper.. not easier... but cheaper to find a harness from an 89..
an a9l computer or a9p.. either one will work.. a9l is more sought after, because it was made for a 5 speed.. but the a9p will work..
that, and a maf meter, and the plumbing..
i got all of my stuff off of ebay, for $160 +$20 shipping..

you dont even need the 89 harness, you can splice into the old one
