It's possible to get decent heads on $900 budget, Central FL Motorsports usually has good deals, Anderson Ford Motorsports is another good place. You could rat hole money a little longer and get a lot more bang for your buck though. Truly, another $500 or so gets you into a stage 1 port and polish head. Top end is usually where people turn to first so there is an abundance of mfg's offering entry level heads for $1500 or so. Me, I would build up the fund a little and at least try to get into upgraded springs, retainers and valves and basic porting. Just my opinion.
