Steering Slop...

You can pull one from a V-6 SN-95, it will be the same.

Until you can verify that is IS the steering shaft, I wouldnt go buying expensive replacement parts. My car is the same way, but I have a feeling that the extra slop is in my rack, not the steering shaft.

well when i turn the shaft back and fourth quickly i can hear a poping noise in the shaft, ill stick it up on jack stands tomorrow and take a look if weather permits.

well... while working today I was able to pinpoint where the slop in the steering is comming from... While I was under the car I grabed and held the shaft right above the rack... I had someone else wiggle the wheel and the slop in the wheel moves without the shaft moving... So im assuming thats the Rag joint? I could be wrong but what other parts of the shaft could cause this... Its not the tie rod ends or the rack & pinion..
