RE: is it possible...
Nope....you should be able to disconnect it, and the engine should be able to start....suggest to ID what is causing the no start....no spark, no fuel, and the reasons why .....

RE: is it possible...
well, my car had been bucking, hesitating, and misfring badly. so i decided to set the tps. while i was moving the sensor, all of the sudden the engines started to studder badly, like it was loading up. i gave it some throttle manually to keep it running but it was still spuddering badly and then cut out. i went to restart it and it would try to fire and i got it to run once for a few seconds. now it will not start again or even try to.
i saw some wet something on my driveway underneath the dumps. raw fuel?
what the hell did i do??

lol. it wasn't really a puddle. just a good amount of drops out of each pipe. it was kinda dark like dirty oil, but didn't really smell like it.
maybe like contaminated gas?
i can't imagine excess gas, after traveling through soot covered pipes, is gonna come out clear...
