Default water pump q
i just replaced my water pump saturday and now its making the same loud grinding,squealing, sound. anyone have bad luck with new water pumps?
this sucks major dick. i was supposed to run my car tonite!

are you sre it is the water pump making the noise....the tensioner pulley is right there too

i bought a remanufactured one from kragen.

the sound is right up front. i am gonna check the tensioner pulley. i dont think its the ps/pump.

Check out ALL of your pullies and make sure that none of them are belt or anything. Also, when I think of things squeling in the engine bay, etc. the PS pump is the absolute first thing I think of.

its actualy more of a rattling. i just undid the tensioner and started her up. its most def. coming from the wp.
i hate doing work over.
and belt is brand new.
