Default Driving with PS rack & pinion

If I remove my whole power steering assembly, could I still drive it with no problems except for it turning so hard ?

I dont know but if you could it would be VERY difficult. Do you mean driving like down the street or driving like cruising around town?

It won't fly apart it just won't drive right. There will be a lot of play in the steering. Try it out. Shut the car off while driving down an open road....don't lock the wheel though. It will suck. You need to get a manual rack like one from Flaming River.

i have been driving around with a power rack with no power. that rack started leaking and i dont have money for a new one so i just took the lines and pump out it is kinda hard and going around turns is pretty scary when your going really fast when your turning around a bend the wheel will get to a point where it will want to just pull just gotta have some muscle
