Default 500 for H/I

i went to the junkyard today and found two 96 explorers with whole engines in them. i was so excited but then the owner wouldnt let me take theintake and headsbecause he said its a running motor. There is no way in hell those motors ran.I said 300 for the heads and intake and he said no....only 550 for the entire motor. So i left, but now one of my uncles friends wants the bodyparts from the truck and he said if he can get a deal on it then he will buy the entire explorer and sell me the whole motor for 300........so if all works out ill have the Gt40 heads and the intake and a new block within a week. Those heads are the the Gt40s rite? not the Ps rite?

Yes, if they are 96 explorer engines then they are the GT40 heads.

keep telling yourself that....also the aluminum head give you greater heat dissipation so you can run more timing and a good 40 pounds off the front plus have been cnc'd most chamber are the same
