idle problem

Default idle problem

so i took off my iac to clean it saw how dirty it was so i took the throttle body off to clean it put new gaskets on and put it all back together now when i crank it it cranks and it just starts to go all the way up by the time i turn it off it gets up to 4000 i think i might have knocked my tps out of adjustment or the iac is messed up know but i have gone over everything twice anyhelp or ideas would be great

try resetting your cpu first.

if that doesn't work unplug your IAC. turn it on and see what it does

either the IAC or the TPS....i'm leaning to the IAC....seeing you messed with the IAC...it sometimes has to "relearn" itself before it works right

well i just got back from the bar and checked my tps and it was right at .997 and my iac is clean i am starting to think it is my throttle cable because i didnt feel like putting my bottom bolt in and i think it pulled it tight tighting the top bolt down so i am going to put my bottom bolt in tommorrow and seehow it does

just because your IAC is clean does not mean its not bad......thats about like saying...i blew my motor up racing, but i'm going home to wash and wax the car and its gonna run just fine again
