Default Cobra Vs Stock INtake

looking at the cobra intake for my 89 5.0, wondering what kind of h.p boost id be looking at from 1000 to 4000 rpm, and if it was work the 300 or so, or if i should go for something better (and much more expensive)

also, anyone kno what the size throttle body goes with the cobra, is it 70, or 75mm

it's 70, you will notice a considerable power increase, with the use of a bigger throttle body.

i dunno if u looked around a junk yard are not buy u mite be able to find one... i dunno tho cobras dont sit in junk yards to long...

But yea u will pull harder that stock... expecially thru higher rpms... the intake is for a 70 but u can take a dremel and widen the inlet so a 75 will fit... thats what im doing newayz

go luck with your plans

24# injectors with a matching MAF should do it, but you don't have to get them by any means. spin back the fuel pressure regulator though if you do.this setup worked for me when i had my stocker. don't bother with fuel rails, they aren't neccesary, they are just bright colors and kids buy them to look cool

I'd stick with a 65mm TB for now, if you're got the $$$ throw in a larger MAF and a K&N panel filter or CAI.

yea i just put a bbk cold air on and im gonna modify my old air silencer into a ram air system from the fender well (still workin that out in my head)

Is taking a dremel to the intake a good idea (just wondering how safe that is) let me kno how that goes for you
