Default Questions on 408w build

I know i know its another one of these threads, but ive spent the last hour or using the search feature and still have a few questoins. These are mainly aimed at people who have done the 408w build, but anyone with advice is welcome.

1. First off, i have my block and was wondering where to find a reliable stroker kit
2. Second, Other than the stroker kit, does anyone have a complete list of parts needed to build a 500 hp 408? (most likely carb)
3. In order to achieve 500 HP, what kinds of set ups should i be looking at...heads...cam....intake....carb....etc. (any suggestions are welcome, im looking to get a wide range of peoples opinions on the setup)

I think thats it for now, if i have any more questions ill just post them as i go.

Shouldnt be too hard. Ive got a carbed 351w with stock stroke and 11:1 comp. that pulled 498hp and 488fpt on the dyno.

1. PM fordstroker or FullAuto, they both deal in good stroker kits

www.fordstrokers.com for stroker kit

www.camshaftinnovations.com for head/cam combo made for what you want
no guessing, tell them you want 500+hp 408W street machine and thats what you get.

Vic Jr or Stealth intake
650-750 carb
1 3/4 longtubes
Ford Racing windage tray
10:1 compression
33* total timing

now find a good "race engine" shop to build it "right"

and youre done

how did you manage 11:1 compression ratio?

its all in the pistons dish and cylinder head chamber size, you adjust them to get the compression ratio you want.
10:1 to 11:1 is best imho, any higher and you have to back timing down and timing makes more power
than compression

My 351W made 475hp at 10.1 to 1 compression with a carb on the engine dyno
