Permetex make a anti rust spray that stops rust build up all you so is clean the rusted area and spray 2 coast on the area . when its dry the area turns black on the rusted area then all u have to do is prime and paint it works prety good I sprayed it on a few frames on truck us efor salting roads and plowing streets it is didnt show a sign of rust at all

I sanded all of the rust off. What would you suggest I do to keep it away permanently? Clearcoat over the rustoleum?
