I sanded all of the rust off. What would you suggest I do to keep it away permanently? Clearcoat over the rustoleum?

primer sealant then paint...........all rust has to be remove or you will get a bubble

Permetex make a anti rust spray that stops rust build up all you so is clean the rusted area and spray 2 coast on the area . when its dry the area turns black on the rusted area then all u have to do is prime and paint it works prety good I sprayed it on a few frames on truck us efor salting roads and plowing streets it is didnt show a sign of rust at all

if u have an air compressor just spray it with some single stage white or bc/cc but since its hidden the single stage will bealot cheaper

or some good ole P.O.R would work if its all hidden and you want the non cosmetic but effective job

POR-15 would have stopped it permanently...i'm gonna paint my new gas tank with it to seal it for good.
