Default vacuum line

Does the vacuum line do anything? I dont have any and my car runs fine, i heard if i get them it will run alot better, is that true?

the one that goes to the valve cover? I don't use it but I have a S/C I also don't use a pcv either

that really wont help your can run better. a tune up will though
