back to the future 2 (i believe... its the one where he goes to the future to make sure his kids dont screw up) there is a 5.0 that flies in and lands... its got a horrible body kit and a lot of ugly stuff to make it look "futuristic"

That's the first thing that came to my mind. You have it backwards though. Kane was driving a green two tone GT convertible and he robs the guy in a red LX hatch with Daytons.
