i think the 93 cobras did, not sure.... there's many ways to convert depending on budget and if you want to keep drums in the rear or go discs all around.

5.0 resto sells the complete kit to convert to a five lug and leave drums in the back for 399, even comes with gear oil. Its really not that difficult to do. If you want to switch to discs in the back the best thing you could do if find a wrecked 94-04 stang with the v8 in it. I found a 94 for 300 from the impound yard i work for and swithched out the rear axle and front spindles, then sold the car again and made money off of it. Dont go to a junkyard though they will charge you a ton for a rear axle outa one of those cars if you can even find one. Check ebay. Its really not that hard to do at all.

The cheap way is just to swap Lincoln rotors and use Ranger axles. The Lincoln rotors will not clear most small centercap Ford wheels. All aftermarket wheels like Weld, Centerline, American Racing, etc. will work though.
The better way is use 94/95 spindles and hubs, 99+ brakes for the dual piston calipers and aftermarket axles for the rear.

RE: 5 lug stangs?
I did 5lug conversion to mine. I used the 50resto kit that's $399. If I was able to go back in time and do it again, I would have gotten 94/95 spindles, calipers, pads, and rotors. And then bought the rear axles and drums from where ever. The kit 50resto sells is great but the front rotors are a joke though, they didn't allow me to run my center caps, which I had a suspicion they wouldn't. Not to mention they also shippeda wrong wheel bearing for one of the sides, which DID seize on me about 6 months to ayear later... 94/95 spindle set up is definitely the way to go. Also there is a tech articles sticky on the forums here that would be what you are looking for.
