Not needed for a daily driver, you will need to cut off some of the axle housing, have the c-clips pressed on to the axles by someone who knows what they are doing.

You know, this is an interesting topic. I've heard the same, but I've also heard nothing needs to be cut from another shop. Hmmmmmmm?????

I have done dozens and dozens of c-clip's on my own junk and others in the last 10 years. You need to cut off the 2 inches right before the backing plate register. I might add I only use strange c-clip elim's so can comment on some other companies setup.

Yes we do install them, C-Clip elim do not require the tubes to be cut. If you install 9" tube ends and a set of 9" brakes then the tubes must be cut. To install a set of c clip elims on a 8.8 would be about 225.00 plus the kit. If memory serves me right the kit is about 130.00.

Thanks, Mark

Yes, true you dont cut the ends off, the only time to cut the ends off would be for 9" ends which eliminates the use of c-clips, but you do need to cut off about 2 inches right to the backing plate register. If needed I can get a pic.

OK, so on a 8.8, you don't have to cut the tube???. You're confusing me w/ your explanation.

Pics would be great if you have them

there is about 2 inches that needs to be cut off, no you dont cut the tube ends off, you can see where I cut to, which is what is called the backing plate register
