aright a kid just bought a stock awd taloon for 500bucks.. over a 100thousand on the motor.. he thinks with 2grand he will run 11's... and my buddys got a stock 5.0 he just got a new clutch T5 swap bbk headers and H pipe and some decent tires. what do you guys think.

First it is a Talon. Second for 50 bucks the kid can get a boost controller. Those cars on 14 pounds of boost run high 12's with just the boost turned up. Your friend is going to get murdered. That Talon is going to leave him with his AWD and then pull him with the turbo. Very very honest, with DR's, an upgraded clutch, bigger turbo and driver mod that kid could break off a high 11 for under 2 g's.

It really depends on if he is telling you the truth or not. A stock talon with like just exhaust, the 5 liter will probably definitely take him since a stock talon only runs low 15s. They can get fast very easy though, it is very possible that he is in the 12s right now, but considering it was 500 dollars I highly doubt it.

so true they have problems with the timing belts and that stuff my friend had one and had all the teeth shred off the belt and blew the motor that thing wont last long with over 100k on it

this guy that lives in my part of town has a awd talon, with a turbo and dr's. runs 10s in the 14th.

Of course he has the supporting mods for the turbo, but it only cost him about 2500

ya the ticking time bomb is what i think it is.. ya i figured it would murder the 5.0.. it is turbo'd. but i dont think the motor will last a few pass's
