Oil Pressure Sensor...
When I did some work on my car a few days back durring my oil change I spent a few minutes putting a new oil pressure sending unit in my car since the guage wasnt working...
I had assumed the sending unit was just bad but now that the new one is in there it hasnt changed a bit...
The guage just kinda hangs at like 5/7th the way up the guage(over the A) and barley moves, it will SLOWLY move back and forth over the R and the A but doesnt increase with rpms like it should or with hard driving...
Now im concerned because im worried that it is actually reading correct.. I tryed putting a new pcv valve in it yesterday but I cannot figure out how to get to it to replace it... WTF inbetween the upper and lower intake, behind the engine, next to the firewall... Thanks ford...

RE: Oil Pressure Sensor...
Call Summitt or Jegs, or go to the part store tell them you want a mechancle oil pressure gauge and install that on your car, that should fix the problem. the pvc is on the lower intake by the fire wall, it should just pull out, kind of hard to get to.

Yes like 15austin said, get a mechanical oil pressure guage. I did the same thing with my car that you did. I replaced the sending unit and it was still reading low oil pressure. I borrowed a pressure guage from my mechanic and it showed that I was getting excellent pressure. After that I went out and bought an autometer guage and installed it my self--very easy--and that solved that problem!

So does the mechanical just replace the sending unit then i have to install a new guage? The idea of me fixing the stocker was to not have to get a second guage while there is broke one in the guage cluster... No way?

Well yeah the stock guage will be basically "dead" . I know what your saying but you kinda get used to not even looking at the stock one anymore. But if you want you can leave the stock one working once you are able to check what your actual oil pressure is. If the actual oil pressure is good then you can just leave the stock one alone knowing that if it's reading low that thier is actually better pressure than the guage is showing. Personally I would put a new guage in so you know exactly what your pressure really is

Just seems stupid thats all... Every ford iv owned has had problems with the guages going stupid lol...
Well any cheap mechanical guages out there, may as well get another one to go with it and just get a a-pillar pod...
What other guage should I pick up a/f?

I paid $20 for mine at autozone and it came with everything needed to mount it I actually mounted mine right on top of the steering column (as in pic.). I know your going to put yours where you want but I figured that if I'm always going to be looking down at the stock oil guage I'll put the after market guage right in front of it
