clutch safety switch

RE: clutch safety switch
you also can unplug the connector for the switch, take one piece of wire, strip both ends 1/8', and stick it in the connector , one end in each slot (not on the switch side, wiring coming to switch side) All its looking for is a completed circuit to allow you to start up.

The cheapest easiest way to fix it is to just not start the car with it in gear.
While we're on the topic, I heard recently that the Neutral Safety Switch also retards timing between shifts. Is that true, or just more BS?

thats not good.... is it an easy/cheap fix?

The Clutch Engage Switch or Clutch Sense Switch + Gear Switch combo in a manual tranny setup is the one used for idle control among other things....so saying that it's something that should be overlooked......that is BS.......otherwise, why would Ford invest money in wiring, connectors, software, etc.....to add that signal input to the ECM at pin 30?......
