i have a 1985 mustang gt and i cannot get any of my tools onto the distributor hold down bolt. i have tried wrenches and ratchets all without enough clearance. when i use an extension on a ratchet i can't go in straight because the distributor base is in the way. i thought a crows foot might work but it still isn't offset enough. what tool do you guys use to do this?

I just use a 1/2 inch wrench, but I have no a/c so I got lots of room there

you might have to use a swivel socket and an extension,
