rocker arm trouble
I just bought a set of roller rockers from jegs, they are 1.7's and they are incredibly noisy, I took the valve cover back off and when the valve in not compressed, there is about 1/16th of an inch between the roller on the tip of the rocker and the top of the valve, my first thought was that the lifters were not pumping up, but there is plenty of oil in the top of the cylinder heads, wouldn't there be a lack of oil if they were not pumping up??

RE: rocker arm trouble
I took the valve cover off and checked the lash between all the valves when the valves were decompressed (put a bar on the front of the engine and turned it manually to check them) there was about 1/16 clearence. the heads are pedistle mounts, and the rockers are nonadjustable
