about how much does it cost to get an engine rebuilt from the block up? about how long does it usually take?

i have everything i need to do it...i just dont trust putting it together myself how much if all the parts are there

If your just talking about the cost of professionally assembling an engine from the intake to oil pan, the average is approx $600.00. This pricedoes NOT include the cost ofany parts or machine work just assembly.

There is no need for any 5.0 engine to need anything but a good torque plate honed with a .030 over flat top piston. Even then the 5.0 engine bores are almost always with in a half thousands wear in the cylinder bores. Most cases a ring job , and new valve springs five angle valve job, your choice is all that is needed on the short block. your choice on valve sizes. $200.00 for ring kit, 2 to $500.00 on the iron heads. And or buy the pro comp Aluminum off eBay for $549.00. $750.00 or so dollars. That's what I'd do and have done and it work's out great. I hope this help's you get what your after.
