RE: headers
ease of installation, definitely the shorties. However, you can ultimately get a deeper sound and more power from the longtubes. And don't let people tell you long tubes won't add power on a stock 5.0 becasue it will. When you look at the peak hp before and after the longtubes, there may nto be any difference, but if you look across the rpm range, you will see the long tubes have an extra 15-20 horse over the stockers. that's where it really counts anyway. When fox body stangs just came out, people would do all the weight reduction, pulleys, long tube headers, and slicks and could run high 12s in a coupe on a sea level track. Those people were no fools.

RE: headers
^^^ Not true. I have seen many numerous dyno sheets comparing LT's and Shorties and the LT's always come out on top in hp/tq usually across the whole range. The only reason IMO NOT to get LT's if you dont feel like going through the installs. I just recommend shorties to people now because everyone always gets into the arguement that LT's are for cars w/ 350hp or more, bla bla bla and I dont feel like going through it everytime I post something about them.
