I have the 225's on the front of my 92 and 245's on the rear. I works great. I would definitely use that size.

I wouldn't go as wide as the 255 with the stock width 7" pony wheel, stick with the 245. I had the 255 after I went through a 245and didn't like it. You'll find that you get a lot of side to sideplay in turnsend even a whipping motion just changing lanes. It's caused by the combination of the sidewall height and having the tire toowide for the rim.

I have 255-50-16s and I love them, I dont know about this side to side thing your talking about are you sure you didnt have a wheel that was about to fall off? or a bent axle? more rubber = better traction

thanks guys, i'm kinda leaning towards the 255/50's. i think it would look good with the 225/50's up front. i am planning on cutting 1/2 coil out of the ear stock springs and add the airbag to the right rear spring and put some moroso drag springs up front or look for used front eibach drag launch springs and cut 1- 1 1/2 coils out of the fronts or something so it will be lowered a lil but not drasticly.

Yeah, you should be fine with the 225's. Just don't go to 255's. I am running them and they are just to wide. They are nice in the corners and look good, but they RUB!!!![:@]

nahh, the 225's came on the ponies and 2 are about 1/3rd worn and 2 are worn down to nothing on the insides of the tires so the 225's will go on the front and i am thinking the 255 or 245DR's will go on the back.
