f-303 ,x-303,z-303 cam questions?
trying to figure out what would be better to go with wher i would not have any computer problems and any ptv problems. this is what ido know i have the gt40 heads and cobra intake the problem im basically running intois that the car that i have is a 88 gt mustang and saposbly has a 93 cobra swap so im trying to find out if itsa true cobra motor so i know what to get. the thing that confuses me is that my throttle positioning sensor went out and i bought one for a 93 cobra and it made my car throttle stickwide open so i went a head and went and got onefor the88 mustang gt and it worked perfect but itdoes a have a 75 mm bbk throttle body on it so i wasthinking maybeoff a 88 intake tothe cobra intake........any help would be nice thisthing is sodamn confusing and the guy i gotit from didnt really know for sure what it had done to it so its pretty muchbeen a guessing game.

none of the above. look around there are a lot better cams out there. take off the 75mm tb and sell it. its too big for ur setup get a 65mm tb. second like i said about the tb bigger is not always better with cams. search more on the forum and read up you have a lot to learn

one of the best ways to see if you have a true cobra motor would be to remove one valve cover and see if you have 1.7 roller rockers. If you do, then chances are good you have an actual cobra motor. Also look for blue top injectors.

Jasper is right though...stay away from the alphabet cams. Go with a TFS Stage 1 or a Steeda #19. I'd say go with a 70mm TB though. You'll outgrow the 65 quickly, if you plan on modding more.

i see why there telling u to get rid of the 75mm tb... but if u have plans for it in the future then i wouldnt get ready of it... just make do until then... now if u plan on running nothing mroe than a mild h/c/i then 70mm would be more than enough.
as for cams i wouldnt get an alphabet cam and if u were to get one dont get so crazy with it an E303 or a B303 would be plenty for that engine... or u come get a custom cam... they are more expinsive but its more power as well and it will work with your setup better
if your not goin to do nehting else to you car at all and stop with the cobra stuff your doing just get an E303... its a nice cheap cam that is pretty mild and would will have minial tuning problems... if u have bigger plans than it may be worth putting a lil cash it to the cam
