RE: I hate forced induction
well n/a car are not hard to build but then are not as streetable as a nos, turbo,sc, motors, but i have goten better mpg with my turbo motors and sc motors, but if your at the track nos is cool (the bottle thing is ture and funny) but its a heck of a shock on a motor and have you ever ran out of juice in the middle of a race? (sux) but in all, its not to bad just not for me..ADZ302=Advertised power of this engine was listed at 290hp . This is an under-rated figure. Chevrolet wanted to keep the horsepower rating at less than 1hp per cubic inch, for various reasons (e.g. insurance and racing classes). The factory rating of 290hp occurred at 5300 rpm, while actual peak for the high-revving 302 was closer to 360hp (with the single four barrel carb) to 400hp (with optional dual-four barrel carbs) at 6800-7000 rpm. i was building low com dz302 for my tt Camaro but settled for a LSX block

Yeah, forced induction on a nonbeefed up engine has its perks.Like having a wide range of tunability. You can make it + or - over a 100hp in the matter of minutes or seconds. Which ever you choose. Unlike with N/A. It is what it is. What sux is reading in mags about these 350hp, mostly stock, superchrged engines, like they are just awsome. [:'(]

In reply to most of ya'lls replies, my friend just made a very valid point. Lay $100 dollars on a race whether street or strip and then try and hide a turbo or supercharger. Nitrous is an ultimate hustle, no if's ands or butt's. Friends of mine have won countless races through these methods. Some may call it cheating, but when a by all meens faster car lines up with you, nitrous will give you an edge.
