Default Header Paint Burning off!!! QUESTIONS

Just curious,,, this is my 2nd build of my Dart 347 and the first set of headers i had on were some Hooker Super Comp painted headers the paint slowly burnt off of them,,,, anyway i bought a set of hedmans b/c my old hookers were screwed when i pulled them,,, the hedmans are black painted and last night i started the car, the computer kept timing at about 9-10degs and my fuel was around 41#s where i had it on the dyno a few months back, well all the paint burnt off the headers in like 10mins they are now bare metal grey color,, anyone else have this happen to them?? thanks

didtn want to go ceramic till i got this biotch all finished and running right, b/c of what happend with my heat/lean problem on my old headers,, so its normal for the paint to burn off in 10mins or so of running,, its not burning anymore though thats good,, guess they dont have high temp baked on paint

The "HTS" coating on my MAC LT's burnt off within the first few weeks... 300 miles and they looked like they were 20 years old lol Like you said, ceramic coating is probably the only thing thats going to hold up. Or maybe powdercoating.....

oh ok that makes me feel a ton better, haha thats what my hookers did took a couple hundred miles, guess they had better spray on their pipes than on these hedmans,, ill get it running and then put some ceramics on there,

I think the ceramic paint from Autozone holds up better than MAC's coatings
