Equals will give you a few more hp but you wouldn't be able to feel the difference if you swaped unequals for equals.

Default RE: Difference between equal and unequal length headers

on equal length headers, great pains are taken to keep
every cylinder pipe the exact same length, so that each
cylinders exhaust as same distance to go. This keeps
the "exhaust pulses" in order and lowers back pressure
for more hp.

Shorties or unequal headers just take the shortest most
direct path regardless of exhaust flow.

If they are the headers he had last time I was up at his house the right side has some surface rust and the left is still pretty chrome.

equals are also more difficult to install, from what I've heard at least.

i was debating that, originally gonna get shorty equals, but i ended up getting long tubes, either way i had to jack the motor up to install, but i like my long tubes better.

I like my equals, but the only real difference you will notice, is the equals just look cooler. They can also be a pain to install, but so can the un equals.

WTF was the point in the attcahment? You say LT's were the right choice and you put a pic of your car where you can't even see the headers. Not to mention that the pic is smaller than a chiuaua's left ********.

Equal's are a PITA to install but not impossible. Between the two you will have little to no difference in performane, there has been many debates over the performance advantages of the 2 and I could easily go over why one is better than the other but that's not needed right now. A minor difference in sound will be heard though. Either one will still out perform the stock shorties so no matter which route you take you can't go wrong.

Depends on what you want you exhaust to sound like, I have unequals and I LOVE THE noise of the unequal turbulance[8D] and imbalance.

Now the few HP Loss dont bother me.
