Hope you've driven something with limited slip before... If not, i'd try to get use to it first... She'll put you in a ditch in a hurry...
Good advice. I've never driven an automatic Fox, but even my relatively stock 5.0 would be quite a handful to an inexperienced driver. As Kev said, keep your rear end under control.

I agree, the rear end will come out easier than you think. I almost wrecked mine when I first got it because I was trying to show off in front of my friend's hot *** girlfriend. Man did that one backfire

Once the weather breaks I'm taking my 15 year old daughter and the GT over to the empty (as in closed) Walmart parking lot and teaching her how to drive a clutch...should be fun...once she gets the hang of it I'm planning on letting her break the rear end loose just so she knows how it feels! Think I'll take the video camera!

That is just wrong man, as far as the complete post, regarding his daughter.

4.6L trucks are pretty slow but even if the Mustang only has a bit more power, it's the size that makes it a handful.

If straight line entertainment is your game you'll be pretty safe. It's the short wheelbase that makes these cars dangerous in bad weather or if you're powering them up while cornering.

As an example something long like a 300C Chrysler running similar times. Low 14's @ 96-98mph. Are boring at the same speed.

throw on a catless h-pipe and the 5.0 will rumble at all rpm's [8D] .. also free's up hp hehe

as said before let the AOD shift itself. it will shift based on the conditions. keep it to the floor and it will shift at the redline.
