them are known for spun rod bearings, you swap a 3.8 and ecm if you wanted as well

Jasper. Its more than likely a spun bearing. So the longer you run it, the worse its going to get. Your best option is going to be trying to source a semi-low miles shortblock and doing a hone/re-ring and re-bearing.

FYI.......Check the harmonic balancer....typical failure BTW, and cause for the knock sound in 3.1L, 3.4L and 3.8L gm engines......the noise is so loud, you think the engine has gone KAPUT.....I've replaced my share of HB's on those.

well i am about to go outside and record a short vid of the car running you all can help analyze whats wrong with it. i bet some will get a good laugh i know 94gtcoupe said he would. i will also walk away a good couple feet and i bet money u will still be able to hear it. so give me some time to record it and upload it

Nope....not at all. Here's a quick test you could do....remove the serpentine belt, start the engine, check if the noise diminishes, and check if the source of the noise is from the front of the engine....
