Default 5 lug swap

im in the process of changing my 87 gt to a five lug and the place where the strut bolts up to the spindle with 2 bolts is a different size on the two cars. The ones off of the 94 are skinnier than the ones on the 87. I tried to chance the struts with them but they dont have the same holes to mount to the strut tower. Any suggestions on what to do?

So the bolts themselves need to be skinnier? Or are the strut mount holes too far apart? I didn't have that problem when I put on my spindles.

the strut mount holes are too far apart the bolts look like they line up fine.

Yes.
Youll need to swap to '87+ struts.

I found a kit http://store.cal-mustang.com/showdetl-7-9818-28-0.htmlbut it doesn't have spindles do i need them? I already have axles and 3.73 gears and a spool from strange for when i wanted to change the rear end. But i need to convert to 5 lug. Can i just buy spindles, rotorsand drums from a parts store or the junkyard

Yes you need spacers 5/8 X .330 on the ball joint and SN95 banjo fitting for the brakes.

You need shims between the knucle and strut.
