no, youre saying that im saying that it wont be louder in terms of decibles at the tailpipe. how does you starting your car without tailpipes fit into this¿ was the rest of your exhaust pointed out the side¿ if so then it applies, if not then i really dont see why you felt you had to bring that up.

No tailpipes meaning after the muffler there is nothing,essentially dumps. It is louder at the rear of the car yes, that is correct. But standing in that same spot, with the same car with dumps, its going to be louder with the dumps.

thanks guys i think im going with dumps. i'm really tired of the rear end hitting the tailpipes every time i hit a bump. i think i can deal with some more fumes. i always have the windows down anyway. i live in florida and the ac doesn't work very well.

the part the axle hits is right after the mufflers where the pipes bend up to go over it. you can feel it in the whole car when it hits. what is DEQ?
